Why we bother.
More than the score
Why We Bother is a UK football video show about the moments, people and places that make following a club worthwhile. From the Premier League to the National League, we look for stories worth sharing: the away days, the volunteers, the community teams and the little bits of brilliance.
Jonny and Rhys are our anchors. Our presenters are fictional characters, with regional voices and a soft spot for football. Nottingham Forest and Worthing are particularly close to home.

Made with AI. Facts sourced.
AI helps make the scripts, voices, characters and videos. A person checks the facts and makes the editorial decisions. These are fictional presenters, not real pundits or impressions of them.
Every episode includes its sources. Facts come from official club, league and FA material, or established reporting such as the BBC, PA and local papers. Fan forums, social posts and Wikipedia can point us towards a story; they aren't enough to verify it.
We don't invent quotes, report rumours or use match footage we don't have rights to. The aim is positive, celebratory football coverage, with enough transparency for you to check our working.
Getting it right
If we get a fact wrong, we'll correct the episode information and add a dated correction note to its summary. A material error in a video will also be explained alongside the player, and the video will be replaced when needed.
To flag a mistake, reply to the original episode post on the platform where you found it. Include the episode title, the timestamp and a reliable source for the correction. A dedicated contact address will be added when the show launches.
